TALK: Consider some of these ideas
24 “But in those days, after that suffering,
sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light,
25 and the stars will be falling from heaven,
and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.
26 Then they will see ‘the Son of Man coming in clouds’ with great power and glory (Mark 13:24-26)
Jesus taught the disciples about the end of all things. But in his words, they learned about the things of now. Be awake and watchful. Life is happening all around us.
- What “world-ending, mass panic” messages do you remember? Were you sucked into the hysteria? What helped you calm down?
- What do you worry about? Does faith help calm those fears?
PRAY: O Lord, no one on earth knows the hour of your return. Only keep us watchful and awake, that we might always be at work in your kingdom, for the sake of Jesus. Amen.
BLESS: May you find peace today, trusting that God will keep you forever..
