TALK: Consider some of these ideas
“Is anything too wonderful for the Lord? At the set time I will return to you, in due season, and Sarah shall have a son.”
(Genesis 18:14)
Abraham and Sarah had no idea on this day the God would send a message that would get them laughing—that in their old age, they would have a baby!
- When was the last time you laughed with a crowd? How does it feel to share a moment of humor?
- Do you laugh easily or are you more serious?
- Sometimes do you feel that God’s promises don’t seem possible?
PRAY: Joyous God, you made Sarah laugh at your outrageous promise, and you delivered exactly what you said. Lighten our hearts with anticipation of what you are doing in our lives, and open us to possibilities beyond what we can imagine. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
BLESS: May the God of surprise delight you each day. Amen.
